Course Handicap = Handicap Index × Slope Rating ÷ 113 + (Course Rating − Par), to two decimals; don't round it yet. Counts = that Course Handicap × the share. Round only the team total. Shares recommended by the USGA: 4 players 25, 20, 15, 10%; 3 players 30, 20, 10%; 2 players 35, 15%. The committee can set its own.

How to use it
- Fill in the tees: Course Rating, Slope Rating and par are on the course’s scorecard.
- Work out each player’s Course Handicap and list the players from the lowest to the highest. Leave the Course Handicaps unrounded: rounding each one first can change the team’s total.
- Multiply each one by its share (25%, 20%, 15% and 10% for a team of four) and add them up. Round only the total.
- Write the team’s score on each hole, add up the front and back nines, and take away the team handicap.
For a team of two or three, cross out the bottom rows and use the shares printed under the table. The scramble handicap calculator works out the team handicap for you, and the event’s own rules always come first.
